This chess board is cut from smooth slate with a diamond tip slate saw, edged to produce a simple bevel before being cleaned and waxed for protection. Using the latest sandblasting technology it is etched with the specified design and lacquered for protection. Finally each chess board is quality checked by a quality supervisor and is signed off as made. This large chessboard is individually wrapped.
