How We Make Our Slate House Numbers
The artwork is created on a computer by one of our designers, and a vinyl mask is produced. The slate is covered with a vinyl mask to protect it during the process. The mask allows the sandblasting process to etch your house number without damaging the rest of the plate. The sign is then sandblasted by hand by one of our experienced craftspeople, who then proceeds to hand paint the number in your chosen colour. When the plate is fully dry, the mask is removed, and the sign is cleaned and ready for dispatch. Finally, the sign undergoes our rigorous quality control procedure and is signed off, ready for delivery.
Personalised signs, numbers, letterboxes and pet memorials are bespoke items made to your specification and are therefore non-returnable unless they are damaged in transit or made incorrectly by us (i.e. spelling errors).
